Field-based courses

Animal Tracks & Sign

This 1-credit, field-intensive, home-study course helps students build the skills to effectively record, identify and interpret animal sign, not only to discern what species left it but also to gain a little insight into the individual’s behavior.

Specimen-based courses

EFB 381 Museum Techniques

One hour of lecture and three hours of laboratory per week. Theory and practice of vertebrate museum methods, with emphasis on the preparation and curation of vertebrate specimens.

Student Research Projects

Undergraduate ESF students can recieve credit for EFB 298 or EFB 498 by assisting with or designing projects using the RWLS collections. Reach out to our Collections Manager for more information.
