Sabrina has been working in natural history collections since she was an undergraduate and is passionate about sharing the value of collections with students, researchers, and the public. Her research interests broadly include herpetology, behavioral ecology, and conservation biology, with an emphasis on the impact of climate on salamander behavior. When not working in the collections, she spends time on her increasingly large collection of hobbies, including knitting, wood carving, sewing, and more.

Opportunities

Students are a vital part of the RWLC and we are committed to providing hands-on educational and professional opportunities in the collections. Students are able to work on a variety of tasks such as preparing specimens, cataloging data, pest monitoring, assisting with collection maintenance, and more. Opportunities are available for paid work, course credit, and on a volunteer basis. Federal work study positions are available, more information can be found at the Office of Financial Aid. Interested students should contact the Collections Manager or stop by the collections spaces in 028 Gateway or 215 Illick.
